Tenzing Rock, a gigantic natural rock in Darjeeling is named after Tenzing Norgay, the man who created history by climbing the Everest first time along with Edmund Hillary in 1953. While facing the Tenzing Rock, the left side or the left face of the rock is used by the professional rock climbers and the trainees.

It's a historic place.. nice to see, I was excited to know about Tenzing after hearing about his name.. Tenzing is the man in world who First Ever man to climb Highest mountain Mount Everest.. He helped to Edmund Hillary to climb Mount Everest.

The place is not really a good place for tourist. Very small area and not maintained as tourist friendly. In foggy weather they close the rock climbing activities. The rocks are not that big which give u feel that you expected. Just a good place to see some rocks and nice weather. Foggy season you can find some temporary tea stall infront of the rocks where they sell raw tea in very cheap price.
