Description
From here one can view the hills and Darjeeling town by night looks mesmerising. - One can view the entire range of Himalayas from the Mal Road(15mins walk) or Shrubberry Nightangle Park(5 to 8mins). Smriya Homestay is situated at Hooker Road, Darjeeling. - One can reach our homestay by getting down at the RKSP School ( near the Governer's House) and taking the road downhill from infront of the main gate of the RKSP School. -After walking for 3 to 4 minutes one will see the sign board of our homestay. - Hooker Road got its name from Sir D Hooker (A prominent Botanist) who spent some part of his life in Hooker Road. Nearby Attractions: - Our homestay is located centrally for Market, Chowrasta, Mal Road, Tea Estate, Zoo and view points. - All these places are accessible on foot. - Happy Valley Tea Estate is accessible on foot (5 to 10min) and the Tea Estate Management organise the guided tour of the Tea Factory. - Padmaja Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountniaring Institute are just 15 minutes away on foot.Further up it takes just around 15mins to reach Ropeway from Zoo. How to reach the property? - Taxis for local sight seeingtours are also available. - Prepaid taxis for pick and drop to airport/railway station can be provided for the guests if requested in advance.

Very nice place to stay.Not much crowd like near mall area.Room is very clean and nice.All the facilities are available.10 minutes walk to mall.The owner welcomed us warmly and helped with travelling.Overall recommend and good stay within budget.

Very good Home stay. I visited in end of Dec'19. Rooms r small in size but equipped with every necessary amenities.. Electric Kettle, Towel, Toilet Soap, Liquid Hand wash, Toilet Paper, adequate Blankets in chilling winter. Very clean & airy & situated in a good quite location. 1 km from Mall & Chowrasta Market (walking distance) connecting 2 main roads but have to climb a little up or down to reach the home stay. Food is available here is purely homemade & reasonable & tasty as compared to Darjeeling Restaurants. They can also arrange for sightseeing car rental at much reasonable rates.

Location is close to main road as well as Bus stand n mall market 10-15 mints walking. Room was clean n equipped with all necessary amenities. Host is really helpful and decent person.
