A beautiful place to relax and enjoy the amazing view of the Himalayas. Very well maintained. Clean and tidy. They have a well maintained nursery as well. Look at the pretty flowers that bloom throughout the year and soothe your eyes. Plastics and smoking inside the park is not allowed so kindly keep that in mind and keep this piece of beauty clean and healthy. A very good place for lovers too

Good park to spend time with family friends and kids. Beautiful lighting and cultural programme in the evening. Located in the mesmerising hill station of Darjeeling, the Nightingale Park is a public park area frequented by the tourists and locals to relish gorgeous views of the Kanchenjunga ranges. It serves as an ideal place to unwind and recharge amidst lush greenery and soothing winds. This park was earlier called 'The Shrubbery' when it was a private courtyard of Sir Thomas Tartan's Bungalow, during the British reign. Flanked by a covered archway, theĀ entrance leads you to pebbled walkways around this oval-shaped park. Since the Nightingale Park is at a slighted elevated terrain, you need to climb a few steps to reach the entry to this green haven. The park was closed for renovation for about four years and has reopened for the public since 2011. There is a giant statue of Lord Shiva, a musical fountain along with the great scenery

This place is 10-15minutes walk towards the zoo from mall road. Inside the park there are myriad kinds of flowers and plants. People can sit down and chat. There is even one restaurant but unfortunately it was closed the time I had a visit. Green pastures and colourful flowers will brighten up the day.

Nice place to roam around and spend idle time. If you have a day free and looking for some local places to visit, then this is the best place you should opt for. About 1.3 Km from Darjeeling mall and just 15 mins walk.
