Sanderling Resort is one of the best place to stay in Darjeeling. The hotel is located close to Mall and Gym Khana. The rooms are spacious clean and has a beautiful view. It had all the amenities needed for the stay. Tooth Paste, A pair of tooth brush, a variety of tea with tea maker and coffee. Also two pair of sandals. The interior has a lawn in between and also Spa. As we entered we were greeted and the check in was very quick. The hotel service also deserves to be appreciated.

This property is very-very close to Mall Road, Darjeeling. It's nearly 5 min of walk. Well the hotel is spacious and well maintained. The 'cons' are: 1. Food is not that good. Dinner: The custard as well as kheer that we were offered were not properly prepared and were forced to leave. Tandoori roti was so hard that you may end up having tooth ache.!! Breakfast: Don't try the south Indian dishes. They are not at all tasty. The breakfast spread is limited and not tasty. 2. I personally found the room service to be slow and sometimes they forget to get the stuff that you wanted. 3. Warm water service is limited. You get it from 6-11 am and 6-11 pm. There is no separate geyser in bathroom. I wanted to checkout early in the morning. Didn't get hot water initially. And when hot water supply was there, cold water was not available. So situation can be very tricky specially when you are visiting in the cold weather. What a traveller can do is to fill the bucket with water in the night for morning use. You can negate one of the 'cons' regarding food. Mall road is walkable. So there are famous eateries like Glenary's and Keventer's. So lot of options are available. Also, taxi stand is near the mall road wherein one can get cab for sight seeing at very reasonable price. Owing to the location to Mall Road, and the hotel being easily accessible by the cabs, I would still recommend this hotel. One can ignore the negatives by careful planning.

Great stay. Had wonderful experience. Staff is very polite but service is very very slow.

Low food quality and delivery time miss management , unqualified staff and manager level personal very bad experience while staying at hotel with in two days time
