The Japanese Peace Pagoda on the slopes of Jalaphar Hill is a short distance from the town and showcases the four avatars of Buddha, including the Maitreya Buddha. It is open to people of all races and creeds and is purposely made to propagate peace and prosperity in the world. The Japanese Peace Pagoda was made under the supervision of a devout Japanese monk called Nichidatsu Fujii (1885-1985), who is also revered as the founder of the Nipponzan-My?h?ji Buddhist Order. The pagoda took about 20 years to build; i.e. from 1972 to 1992.

A really peaceful attraction in Darjeeling. It displays many life events of Lord Budha. The premises also contains Japanese temple where you will find a chanting room. Sitting there for few minutes really gives you some peace. Good place for getting some photos as well. Should not miss in your Darjeeling sight seeing.

The peace Pagoda is located little on the outskirts of the city... It can be reached through taxis which are easily available... The place has a Japanese temple which is the highlight of the place. The place has Amazing views to the city and offers an peaceful sight. The place is worth a visit.

Beautiful and silent place.. Japanese temple.. So beautiful Buddha statues and little story draw in the wall all side different position of Buddha.. Must visit this place.. You can spend good time here.. Good for a photography.. View is beautiful. Tourist attraction place

The name says the everything!! This is really a peaceful place! A very good ambience is the plus point of this temple. Beautiful flowers are present in the garden. And also you can enjoy a fantastic view of Kanchenjaunga Peak, if the weather is good... Parking zone is available.

This place is very near from the main city. You can reach this place within 10min from mall road. Old and historical place where many tourist gather now-a-days. You can see some meaningful and old architecture here. Whole area they cover with some beautiful flower and decoration which gives tourist more attraction.
