Lamahatta Eco Park - Darjeeling    Share

This is a vast stretch of beautiful manicured garden 'Roadside Garden' of Lamahatta which has been created along the slope of the hill and under the dense dhupi and pine forest. The garden is full of seasonal flowering plants including white and other colorful orchids. There is an entry fee of Rs. 10/- per person which you will get tickets at the small ticket counter beside of the main gate. There is a pathway which goes through the park for taking a leisure stroll. Along the way you will find wooden benches to take rest as well. Best part of this garden is to trek 700 meters up in between the pine trees and reach to the top of the hill where a holy lake is situated. Local people believes the lake to be very pure and spiritual.

It's a great place, full of flowers and pine trees. You have to buy a ticket for going in. There are a few treehouses here. There is a large variety of flowers. There are places to sit and relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The cleanliness is well maintained over here.

The view of Kanchenjunga was breath taking, mind blowing. There's a guy with a telescope, he charges really very less. please go ahead and view the range and the Shiva statue. Its worth worth worth worth a watch is every single way

It's quite nice place in the lap of hills. You can enjoy all the day round here. Very peaceful with no noisy environment.
