People told me to visit Keventer's since I was coming to Darjeeling. For the first two days, me, my wife and daughter only had softies ( vanilla, chocolate or mix ) from the ground floor. In spite of the rush, the billing and service was quick. Next day, went up to have food. There is always a rush especially during breakfast and meal times but they manage it quite well. The closed collapsible gate means it is full inside. I had to wait for 5 minutes each time to gain entry. Waiters will come, ask how many members are there and take you in. After climbing the stairs, if you go to the right, it is the place with a roof but has a clear view of the outside especially the beautiful Kanchenjunga. The place is having only 6 tables and is well decorated with flowers. The food is good, mainly non veg. We had chicken cutlet, the non veg platter, chicken sandwich, hot chocolate and coffee.Service is good, waiters are well trained. Though they could have put in more tables, they have not done so. There is no hurry, you enjoy your food along with the scenic beauty outside, take photos and check out. If u go to the left side, the sitting is without any roof but the scenery remains. This portion is the older portion.Thoroughly enjoyed having food at Keventer's Darjeeling. Recommended.

This restaurant is considered must visit place to the tourist. In the ground floor is very neat and clean. But the main attraction is the top floor. Only 6 sits are available here. As a result you have to wait for a while for sitting. Enjoying Kanchenjunga while eating makes this restaurant famous. Service is so quick. Food quality is fantastic. Recommend.

I absolutely loved it. It was a wonderful experience indeed. Established in 1911, this place has a delightful touch of heritage to it. The ambience was great. We tried the famous hot chocolate and had ham fries, salami fries and smoked pork sausage. The food was delicious, and the hot chocolate was a perfect match for the chilly afternoon.

Remodeled keventers is now even better. Some say that the old world charm of 1.5 top floor rooms is lost now with tiled, and much decorated patio upstairs. I’d argue that - visitors have more space now, they can relax over coffee and food to have good conversations; and if someone still want to enjoy the narrow triangle shaped deck at one side, that’s still there unchanged. Food is fabulous, no complaints there. Quantity is huge and taste is awesome. I’ll go there every time I visit Darjeeling.

The place have had a makeover in the recent years and it has become more spacious and cleaner. The food quality is as usual great and the view from the rooftop still breathtaking. One of the best cafes of Darjeeling. The coffee and the hot chocolate are still the best one can get
