Description
Bengal Natural History Museum. Located in the heart of Darjeeling at the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, this museum was originally started as a small building in the Botanical Garden meant to showcase the varieties of butterflies and birds of the hills.

This place is a must visit along side the Zoo. There are different kinds of flora and fauna which are stuffed and are on exhibit. Children are very excited to visit this place. Well maintained one

If you're touring Darjeeling, wait at this point and must visit natural history museum. You'll get to see a lot of animals and different species of animals that you already know. A thorough history and information on all kinds of animal is written in of the establishment. Not only animals but they have information on the insects as well. We got to see bengal tiger here :)

It's very well maintained. The toilets are clean n hygienic . Zoo is very interesting u get to see black panther, lion, birds monkeys but specially! RED PANDA! They're so cute n chubby they have 4 of them I visited only to see them n its totally worth it. Plus we get to wear there traditional wear n take pictures which costs around 100-150 bucks which is quite reasonable. There's a food court and a shopping lane to entertain u further
