It is a very interesting museum if you are interested in Magritte's development as an artist. There are not translation to English (papers or letters). Most famous works are not exhibited here. Anyway it is still a very interesting place to visit for art lovers

The review below me, Clinton Webb, has said it all. My review is about the museum itself, not Magritte. It’s just not very well thought out. They also let in waaaaay too many people at a time so you constantly bump into people when just wanting to enjoy some art, calmly. I’d almost say it’s not really worth going.

If you love Magritte, you’ll be glad you came. Although the most famous works are absent (obviously they are in the great museums around the world), many of the works here are just as captivating. It’s also very interesting to see his development laid out chronologically through a very large collection of works. I particularly enjoyed his advertising work, as well as his little seen impressionistic paintings. If you love museums, you’ll be annoyed. It’s poorly laid out, with mediocre lighting and haphazard translations. I speak enough French that i wasn’t deeply annoyed, but it would a little frustrating if I didn’t. I would say if you really enjoy Magritte and his style, it’s definitely worth €10. If you only just like Magritte and his “greatest hits”, you’re safe to give it a miss.

This is a wonderful museum with such interesting art, created by the fabulous Magritte. Every piece is striking and thought-provoking. Love the low light as it helps capture the pieces, and also helps reduce noise from chatters (The darkness really has this effect). The shop is wonderful, I only wish there were more posters to choose from, as there was one I was really after. I highly recommend this museum!

Great museum but I don’t get why only one cashier is on duty on a foreseeably busy Saturday on a long weekend. Long time standing in line for tickets to be expected! Also note that Magritte + Dali is a special temporary exhibition. If you want to see Magritte’s other works, you have to buy a separate ticket for the permanent exhibition
