Jeanneke Pis is a modern fountain sculpture in the centre of Brussels, which was intended to form a counterpoint to the city's famous Manneken Pis. It was commissioned by Denis-Adrien Debouvrie in 1985 and erected in 1987. Jeanneke Pis is the female version of the Manneken Pis, the most famous statue in Brussels. This cheeky little girl with two ponytails is less known than her older brother and is a lot more modern. The little girl is made of bronze and squats and smiles while she urinates into a grey limestone base.

I don't really see the appeal of this statue. It was only build in 1980s as opposed to manneken pis who was there a lot earlier. We only saw it because it was close to where we were. On the plus side it is in the street full of great bars for those looking for a drink.

The pictures so it justice, it is what it is. There's usually a bit of a crowd here and might be worth checking out if you're in the area. It's behind bars.

Honestly I was expecting something else. Anyway is close to one of the best pub in the city so it’s worth a visit.

Jeanneke-Pis is an interesting part of Belgium history. It's located in a small side alley that you normally won't find yourself in. The alley is probably nicer when the nightlife of Brussels start buzzing.

In a corner of a narrow street a nice little statue..maybe more interesting at the evening while the pubs are open and the people will make it alive
