Me and my husband stayed here for one night and loved it. The older lady at the front desk was a sweetheart and helped us to our room. Great facilities.

At the heart of Brussels! Situated in the historic centre of Brussels, Hotel Alma is 5 minutes' walk away from the Gare Centrale and public transport (tram, bus, metro). This makes it very easy for you to get to the heart of the European quarter or to the Atomium. Just leave Hotel Alma to find your happiness, whatever it may be: a nice little café or a Michelin starred restaurant, trendy bars and old bistros, Belgian beers, exhibitions, stately homes and quarters. Even if you're on a tight schedule, you'll have time to see all the sights that can't be missed: our Grand Place, so beautiful it will take your breath away (+/- 200m away), Manneken Pis (+/- 500m), Brussels' most international "Kets" and the superb Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert (+/- 500m away). Just a few steps away there is also the museum quarter and the Sablon, a square full of trendy bars, exclusive boutiques and experts in everything from chocolate to antique

Good hotel close to the grand-place. Because of pubs around lots of traffic on the street but OK with closed windows in the night. A bit strange architecture of tge rooms but big and tidy. Getting quick humid in the bathroom. Breakfast OK. In the end they don't refill everything by themselves. A bit sad no fancy Belgium cheese but good bread.

It seems a lot of the negative reviews are from people who were put in a room downstairs in the "basement"... That being said, I was also put down there. The room was very creepy and secluded. You must go through three doors just to get to the elevator. The room itself did not have a safe and the bathroom was very unconformable. The first night we were there, I guess we were the only guests staying in the underground area so they simply neglected to turn on the heat for that whole floor... This was in mid-Autumn so it was freaking cold!!! They also did not turn on the hot water until the second day either, so after sleeping in a freezing cold room we were then forced to take cold showers too. Both these issues were solved when more guests checked in. The front desk was not overly friendly, in fact we must've gone in and out through the lobby at least a dozen times and never got a greeting from either front desk employees. That all being said, the location is in unbeatable and the price is right. I would stay here again based solely on the location and and price point compared to all other hotels in this area. I would definitely recommend calling ahead of time go ensure you are not put in a room down in the dungeon.

I had asked for an early check-in, as I attended a wedding at 13h, at 8:30 i was told that 2 rooms were currently being cleaned & to check back at 11, at noon I was then told that the rooms are still not available. As i would not return until late, i was told that they would hold a nice room for me. When i returned, I was given a room in the cellar that looked like a prison cell! However, sheets were clean, bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly & polite. But I would NEVER EVER stay here again!!!!
