So much craftsmanship packed into one building! Brussels town hall is the only remaining medieval building in the Grand Place, and its absolute splendour has been coined Brabantine Gothic. While the building has gone through various changes since it was completed in 1420, you can’t help but wonder what it must have been like for a mere mortal peasant to glaze up at these glorious statues.

This is easily one of the most beautiful buildings in the country. The architecture is so detailed and it looks amazing with the square in front of it. You have to be pretty far back to get a full picture because the tower is so high. Either way, this is a must-see in Brussels. Also, the Grand-Place is near lots of restaurants and souvenir shops which you can visit after checking out the town hall. Don't miss this!

Very nice town hall, can be visited at specific hours. The building at the yard at the back are worth visiting, even if the majority of the tourists just look at the facade. It was a great show of lights and music during the winter holidays, the rest of the year there are sometimes markets and counters, a beer on the terrace of the restaurants facing the town hall or a chocolate sampling in the Neuhaus shop in front et voila, Belgium is all there.

It is a spectacular place to have a visit. Such gothic patterns and humongous building!! The Christmas light and sound show for 10minutes over the buildings was Soo beautiful.

Best see in the city with draft beers in small alley, great seafood, and good for chocolate shopping.
