My girlfriend and I stayed here in a private room for three nights. While the location is quite out if the way from the attractions in Brussels, the hostel itself is quite good. Overall we found it clean and quiet. Our room was a good size with a half decent bed as far as hostels go. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast options are decent, and the bar is a nice touch. Compared to how expensive other hostels are in this city, Hello Hostel offered a decent stay for the price. To get to and from town center, I found renting a scooter or a bike was a good way to make the trip a lot faster.

The hostel is in a rough area that I would not recommend walking to at night from a train station. It is right next to the train station which is convenient and the only positive I found. The rooms were small and had only one outlet in the entire room with an extension cord for others to plug-in. Therefore, you are not guaranteed the ability to charge your electronics and it could create issues with alarms. It is not very clean-looking. The showers feel very dorm-style with only a stool inside. This does not make changing an option since everything inside the shower stall gets wet. It also is a must to bring shower shoes or shoes to wear around the room. The breakfast is also meager with only toast, butter, jam, biscuits, and cereal. There is no source of fruit and can feel very dry with no cheese or meat included. No lockers for your stuff. Everyone arrives back at the hostel at the same time and leaves in the morning around the same time so it can be tough to find an open shower or toilet. I did not feel comfortable for my two nights staying.

The room seems prettier on the pictures. Showers and toilets were okay but not amazingly cleaned. The bar was nice and has cheap drinks. Good breakfast

The atmosphere in the hostel is nice and the staff is very friendly. The offer included standard buffet breakfast, and by booking a separate room for three, we also got our own well-equipped kitchen to use for meal making. Overall a great experience, would definitely come back.

Cosy, good for the price. The lockers are outside the rooms which makes it a little inconvenient and the hostel is a little far from the city center. But it’s ok if you’re only planning to stay 1 night in Brussels.
