The Black Tower is the remains of the walled fortifications of medieval Brussels. It’s an extraordinarily well preserved round tower. It’s a pity visiting the inside is not possible. From the exterior, the tower looks like something out of a fairytale. It looks amazing with climbers growing up to about halfway to the top of the windows. It also look very photogenic juxtaposed against the much more modern buildings that surrounded it. Sadly, it’s a little off the main tourist circuit and only worth a look if you have time.
