The white-walled fort of Vichai Prasit was built in 1688 as part of a defence line of forts to prevent ships from sailing up the river to the then Siamese capital of Ayutthaya. It is situated on the western bank of the Chao Phraya near the confluence of Klong Bangkok Yai.

Not open for the public. Is located on military area so no access. Mayby you can book a tour, so I've heard. At least you can see it from the river and get a good view. The 2 other forts nearby, the Phra Sumen Fort and Mahakarn Fort, is open too the public.

One of the old forts protecting the capital. Normally not open to the general public as it is located within the Royal Thai Navy HQ.

A prominent and dramatic structure right beside Wat Arun on the bank of Chao Phraya river, but seems unopened to the public...!!!
