Wat Yannawa is an old Buddhist temple dating back to the Ayutthaya period, located in the Sathon district of Bangkok on Charoen Krung Road, Bangkok, Thailand. It has a unique junk shaped chedi and viharn built by King Rama III. The Wat Yannawa is one of the older temples in Bangkok; it was built during the time of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, before the founding of the Rattanakosin Kingdom and the city of Bangkok. At that time the temple was called Wat Kok Khwai.

The health institute is incredible, I've Ben visiting for about five years and I go for strong Thai massage whenever I have a chance. Best medicinal massage ever, far better than the tourist traps like Wat Pho or little shops and the price is beyond fair. Can't say enough positive things about it. The one place in Bangkok I always return to multiple times when I visit, and the one thing I miss most when I'm away.

Nice temple. The design of the temple is unique. Buy a fish and let it go in the river for good luck. You can also feed the fish at the back of the temple.

A quite temple with beautiful structures. Locals visit it to pray and worship. Main temple looks like it built on a ship.

Interesting pagoda with a junk (Chinese boat) attached. A quiet place in the middle of a busy city. I did visit inside and it is the usual mix of Indo-Asian relics and wax figures of some more prominent monks. As an interesting side note, this pagoda lies in the shadow of the Sathorn Unique ghost tower, abandoned since the financial crash of 1997. My wife warned me not take pictures of it, due to it causing bad luck.. Lol.

It's a cool temple but kinda commercialized/touristy. Our Monk's phone chimed while he was blessing us. Oops. Buy a fish and let it go in the river for good Kamma, or better yet, stop eating (killing) fish.
