Wat Tri Thotsathep Worawihan was built during King Rama IV's reign during the Rattanakosin period. The temple was originally planned to be built by King Rama IV's son (Prince Supradit). After Prince Supradit passed away it was to be completed by Prince Nopphawong.

I came by chance to this temple, there was absolutely nobody. It is very quiet, the interior of the temple is superb, I was able to attend the work of the paint restorer who was working on one of the walls. the paintings are superb and you can take the time to walk around without worry. Free entrance.

Not very well known among tourists. A bit by coincidence I discovered this wat. Yet very beautiful. See the picture.

Very quiet temple with lovely murals and people. You can go slow and soak up the Art. It's a small temple so not much to see but if it is just you and the Mrs then it's just right. Just remember to remove your shoes and cover the shoulders and any tattoos Enjoy.

The parking was not adequate but parking can be double park to accommodate all cars.
