A place of outstanding beauty and peace. All the staff that help the monks are such wonderfully warm people and so generous with their time. I had the great fortune of meeting the head monk of the temple who is the most wonderful man you could hope to meet. The main spire is breathtaking and it’s worth going up to see the view. All around it is a walkway covered with millions of tiny handmade skulls that represent the lives lost in Cambodia due to war and dictatorship. It’s both chilling and deeply emotional. One of the nicest temples to visit in Bangkok and not on the main tourist map, so you have plenty of time and space for quiet reflection.
