Also known by its original name of Wat Leng Noei Yi, Wat Mangkon Kamalawat is the most important and revered temple in Chinatown. The temple contains Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian deities, and is absolutely thronged with worshipers during major holidays such as Chinese New Year and the Vegetarian Festival. Devotees float flowers in small pools, wave joss sticks and incense in the air, and stand in long lines to enter the temple's inner sanctum to be blessed by the attending monks. From the entrance on busy Charoen Krung Road, the temple doesn't look like much, as it is set back through a driveway, but it reveals itself once inside.Visitors are welcome here and there is no charge, but make sure to respect local sensibilities and don't interfere with the merit making activities and people's personal worship.

Beautiful Buddhist/Chinese temple located in Chinatown. As you enter you are greeted by buddha. I witnessed people providing gifts to Buddha in this temple, praying, placing coins in black decorative containers, writing messages on paper and Buddhist monks walking around.

To me it looks like a Chinese Temple and not like a Buddhist temple but then what do I know.... I don't care much about religion. The temple is much bigger then you suspect seen from the street and it has lots of statues. Some of those are quite impressive. If you care for religion, culture, temples or all of it this is definitely a place you will like.

This Chinese temple is the focal point of BKK's expansive china-town. It shows off the spirituality of the city in a peaceful and serene way. It's located in a great area where you can find food nearby. It'll take you away from the heat and stress of the city and transport you to a more peaceful, quieter time.

Really pretty and under rated temple. A bit more hidden, you have to get off the new MRT station and either walk for a while or take a taxi. Not touristy at all and not too many people. On the smaller side, but that's part of the charm. Lots of small street food stalls nearby and the locals are very friendly.

Easy to get there by subway. The temple shines beautiful combination of Thai-Chinese culture in the mid of Bangkok.
