The 9-storey parking building is not far. Our seats in the stadium are so old that the plastic were coming off. We enjoyed the football match though.

Saw a football match there , Bangkok v Chiang Mai. I bought my ticket and programme at the Stadium, when I arrived, and had a good seat with the Bangkok supporters. An enjoyable game, friendly atmosphere, and unlike the experience at some English grounds, no yobs or misbehaviour. Bonus...was staying at the Ibis, close by, so back home in ten minutes.

I love the fact that a 50 meter pool is available for the public and in an accessible location here in Bangkok. But after four times slipping and sliding my way from the entry, to the so-called locker room and then to the pool itself, followed by E. coli symptoms afterwards, I am giving up on this pool. In fact, I should have stopped going after my first foray. But I love to swim and swim long distances so I ignored the growing patches of yellow algae back in March. But now it is July and yesterday I cut my swim period short. I could not stand to continue pretending that the now larger patches of yellow algae and molded grout, and smelly and cloudy, particle ridden water did not exist. Sure enough today, I am exhausted with diarrhea, fever, headache and nausea. Clearly the pool is not allotted the resources and/ or the will needed to keep it - and us- healthy. Very sorry to let it go and have my swimming regime be reduced to my 10 meter condo pool but better that than the National Stadium pool.
