Sri Mahamariamman Temple, also known as Maha Uma Devi Temple in Si Lom, known as Wat Khaek Silom, 'Khaek' being a term, albeit one increasingly perceived as offensive, used for "people of Indian origin", is a South Indian architecture style Hindu temple in Bangkok, Thailand. Sri Mariamman Temple is the main Tamil Hindu temple in Thailand and is located in the Bangrak district of Bangkok at the corner of Silom Road (???????) and Pan Road, a narrower road where a number of kiosks sell saffron-coloured marigold flower garlands for worshippers.

This is the famous Hindu temple in Bangkok. People pray and make a wish for happiness, good health, and luck, especially in work, commerce, and love. You'd better come by public transportation or taxi because it's quite hard to park there.

Temple is great. Feels auspicious. Mind gets refreshed with the sounds coming from chants and the beautiful fragrance. Must go place. You can have some pure vegetarian Indian food near by after your puja.

It’s a beautiful temple but the feeling inside feels very much like a business for offerings and does not imbue the sacred reverence of many of the temples I’ve visited in India and Nepal. There is an overall unfriendliness and business manner to the way it is run that was quite off-putting. Just my take and certainly I mean no disrespect.

Nice south Indian temple with positive vibrations. You feel a kind of warmth as soon as you enter the temple. It is about 3 km from MBK and Siam Paragon in the heart of Bangkok.

An amazing place to visit in Bangkok on Silom Rd. Beautiful! Be mindful of the signs which require shoes to be removed before entrance. It is a house of worship so respect and be mindful of the worshippers.
