Pata Zoo is located on the 6th and 7th floors of the shopping mall Pata Pinklao in the centre of Bangkok. The infamous zoo has been active since the '80s. This place arouses a great deal of controversy because of the inhumane treatment of animals. The zoo was founded by wild animal dealer.

"It's the first time I got depression after visiting a zoo" Even though they claim that the animals are taken care perfectly with food under the right environment, most of them are kept in a small space and you can see rats and street birds in many cages.The apes seem to be very lonely and depressed, esp.the orangutans and the chimps. This place shouldn't have been opened since the begining.

Inhumane. No way they are making as much money as they say they are to keep animals in good condition. I am not in support of zoos period, but a zoo should at least have the decency to evaluate whether or not they can support their animals health and concede to closure in cases like this.

I would never in my entire life set foot in this prison. This company is exploiting animals to make money. Pure animal abuse. Those who visit this place are supporting the abuse. SHUT IT DOWN IMMEDITALY.

SHUT IT DOWN. INHUMANE! BUA-NOI (gorilla) WAS SUPPOSED TO BE RELEASED INTO THE WILD 4 YEARS AGO. ANYONE SUPPORTING THIS ZOO IS SUPPORTING ANIMAL ABUSE AND NEGLECT. Look at your thai childen to see a gorilla.
