The Erawan Shrine, formally the Thao Maha Phrom Shrine, is a shrine in Bangkok, Thailand, which houses a statue of Phra Phrom, the Thai representation of Brahma, the Hindu god of creation. Erawan Shrine is one of the most popular Hindu shrines in downtown Bangkok. It’s in front of Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, at the corner of Ploenchit and Ratchadamri Road. Throughout the day (and night), you'll often see crowds paying their respects, presenting flowers and incense sticks to a gold sculpture of the 4-faced Brahma God, Than Tao Mahaprom.

Easy to miss, which would be a shame Right near the Hyatt on Sukhumvit, on a crowded street and thus easy to miss. Try to be there when there are dances. These dances are simply really beautiful. You won't have that many opportunities to see Thai dances in Bangkok unless you chose to go to dedicated places, and of course pay a significant amount of money. An easy place to get to and a really beautiful experience.

This is a very popular shrine for Erawan the four faced deity in the heart of the Bangkok tourist district. It's actually connected to the Grand Hyatt hotel and it's right across Central World mall and The intercontinental Hotel. Here you'll be able to buy incense, flowers and candles. You're not allowed to light up incense and candles anymore though. You'll also see traditional Thai performers here

Pray for good fortunes to Brahma (4 faced Buddha), a deity in Theravada Buddhism. Does not allow the lighting of incense now, which kind of improve air quality. Blessed with good luck? Sure, hire the dancers for 200 baht (if I am correct) to give gratitude. Cap the session by sprinkling holy water on your head at the fountain. Try not to buy prayer offerings from the street vendors. Instead, donate to the charity foundation via one of the boxes available inside the premise.

This must be one of the most popular tourist attractions in downtown Bangkok. By the time, this place gets very crowded. People come to worship/pray. There is also a traditional dance performance.

One of the landmarks, easy to access by skytrain. Also, this place is surrounded by department stores and shopping centers. The shrine belongs to the hotel and very popular for Thai and foreigners to pray and make a wish. Traffic around the place are always crowed and busy.
