Ban Khun Mae, that literally means Mrs. Mom's House, was opened in 1998 and it is conveniently located in the heart of Bangkok city, Siam Square area which is effortlessly accessible by the sky train. Siam BTS station is just a couple minute's walk away. Here, you can enjoy various Thai traditional dishes and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is popular among both locals and foreign tourists alike. If you visit here as a group, set menus are a great option, too! In the evening, there's a Khim (traditional Thai instrument) player who will make the atmosphere even more authentic. The staff at Ban Khun Mae can speak English. Asian, Thai. Delicious food and great service. They serve quality Thai food and the restaurant is high quality. The green curry was creamy and tasty, the chicken satay came with a lovely crunchy sauce, they pour your drinks for you and keep you topped up and everything is served elegantly. I would recommend !!

One of my favorite restaurants in Bangkok. Their menu is all top quality Thai food. Everything is fresh, and the meals are so tasty. Portions are big and prices are reasonable. The restaurants decor is superb, with a traditional Thai setting. At night they will have Thai girls in traditional costume, playing traditional Thai music. It helps create a lovely atmosphere and I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. The restaurant mainly attracts upper class Thais, so you should dress respectfully.

Amazing food as always. I haven't been in Bangkok in 7 years and this was definitely one of the places I planned to go back to. Great cooking and it doesn't disappoint. Great location to everything too.

This is a good solid Thai restaurant with reasonable prices. Homey interior is a little on the dark side. Quite a few non-Thai patrons because of the location. The food is good. Worth a visit.

Not bad. I can’t say awesome, because this food was adopted for tourists. Tom yam was too sour and not really spicy. Papaya salad too. The atmosphere was good, staff is friendly. If you going to visit for lunch be ready to wait around 30~45 min.
