Great exhibits, the audio part was limited and some only in Dutch. Fantastic building, lots of room for more exhibits. The golden age was very interesting and I would have like more in the area as well as the land reclamation.

If you love history, this Dutch History and Maritime museum will be quite entertaining and knowledgeable! We loved it! We were stunned at the history between the Chinese and the Dutch and the lasting impact that Chinese art had on the Dutch! Fabulous place!

Arguably one of my favorite museums in the world. There are many interactive exhibits that are information for all ages. The global warming exhibit had many videos that show the beauties of every part of earth. These videos explain the importance of preserving this beauty and how human activity is affecting the environment. There is a life size replica of a Dutch merchant ship! This ship has a VR show that brings you back in time. The layout of the museum allows for a constant flow of traffic so everyone can enjoy going back in history. Make sure you take the audio tour because that is a key component in learning about the history of the Dutch artifacts. Highly recommend visiting this museum if you are in Amsterdam. Enjoy :)

Brilliant! You could spend the whole day there if you wanted to take your time but as I had a flight later that same day I was limited to how much time I could take there which was a shame. There's a lot to see and at the moment they have a great exhibition on climate change and the impact it has on the planet. There's really not more to say about it, what's better than walking on a replica Dutch sail trade ship.

It was really good experience here but time wasn't sufficient for us to explore and learn about all the ships. People who are really interested ships for the this place is recommended, you can spend more than half day here.
