The bed was surprisingly very comfortable and slept easily for the night in a 6 bed dorm. The staff are super friendly and were really nice to help me out when I wanted to check out early for personal reasons. Keep in mind this is a party hostel and a good opportunity to meet new people

Really good Hostel, the staff is really nice. Especially an Argentinian guy that it’s always helping. The bathrooms are really good The beds and lockers are perfect The breakfast is good And the two best things are the location and the parties at night. (No noise to the bedrooms) The only thing I recommend is: don’t take the 32 beds room. The people have no respect.

Hostel is located in a very good location, very close to the train station and the main attractions in Amsterdam so the high prices during peak season are forgivable. The noise is not too bad but can get quite loud but those who choose to stay here are aware as this is one of the most popular locations in Amsterdam. The staff are good and kind however, unfortunately,I cannot say the same for the hostel itself. When I arrived, my pillow and duvet was wet because the previous inhabitants had left their wet towels on the bed and the staff had not cleaned up before I arrived. Upon request, the staff were able to amend it very quickly which is good. The bunk beds were quite unstable and the cages offered for us to put our luggage were very weak and could be pried open too easily. Personally I did not experience it but I have read reviews stating the presence of mice or rats in the two Flying Pig Hostels in Amsterdam so for those booking, just watch out

Flying pig was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Was clean, amazing area in walking distance of everything, super friendly staff, the bar and smoking room were always super fun, and it was generally just an amazing time! They had everything you need there, and the place really felt like a good home base while traveling. Perfect for anyone looking to have fun and explore Amsterdam and not break their budget! Would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Amsterdam in the future!

Hostel and staff were nice. Just be aware (if you’re booking in communal rooms) that this is a party hostel with lots of noise and lots of loud/oblivious intoxicated people coming in and out until 4- 5 AM. Rooms that smell like weed and vomit-covered bathrooms can be expected. A good night’s sleep is pretty unlikely depending on the night, so if that’s what you’re looking for you can find it at other (cheaper) places. Probably the best place to go if you’d like a social/party hostel scene. Definitely steer clear if not.
