This former church building a short distance from the busy Leidseplein and houses to one of the most popular alternative music venues and nightclubs in Amsterdam. Paradiso has stood in this spot since 1968, when the 'Cosmic Relaxation Center Paradiso' opened its doors. Originally started as a collective of creatives, over the years the music scene took hold here and now Paradiso Amsterdam regularly offers concerts from world famous international bands as well as smaller gigs from indie bands and local artists. It's been one of my favourite concert halls ever. The sound, the location in the center of Amsterdam, and the fact that they kept the original structure of the old factory makes it a very special spot for enjoying live music. One thing that should be improved is the exit and access, because when the concerts are over it's really chaotic to get out due to the lines for the merchandise stands and lockers.

It’s a nice building at the heart of Amsterdam with good shows and great vibes! I think, sometimes they oversell the tickets and that makes it a bit difficult to find a good spot and enjoy the concerts. Acoustics could also improve in my opinion. Staff is nice!

My favorite live music venue on the planet, not a bad seat and the acoustics are out of this world good. It’s so awesome catching a gig knowing so many iconic bands that have chosen to perform here too. One bit of feedback, the exit system is truly dangerous. A small narrow space for an entire crowd to exit is not safe...open up all the exits before an accident happens.

Such a beautiful venue. Although I’ve always found it extremely cramped. A combination of the room not being built to be a concert venue and maybe overselling tickets? I’ve seen 2 gigs here and never felt completely relaxed or comfortable.

Great venue, it's an old church, so great high ceilings and good views from the balcony. However, they have a tendency to over sell the venue so if it's a popular act it's so rammed it detracts from enjoyment.
