The Melkweg is a popular music venue and cultural center in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is located on the Lijnbaansgracht, near the Leidseplein - the prime nightlife square of Amsterdam. It is housed in a former dairy and is divided into a number of spaces of varying sizes. Approx cost Rs 403

Great venue. Been to many diferent events here. Sound is great, stages set up is always good. Even when really busy the cues are fast. The sound is great, the stage set ups always good, and the atmosphere always some of the best in Amsterdam.

Went to see Last Dinosaurs in December upstairs. Quite a small room but being able to get so close to the band was a great feeling. Had an amazing vibe that night. The sound guys were very good. If you're wanting more bass then I suggest not standing right at the front in the middle

Melkweg is a pretty cool venue with three different halls, allowing for shows of very different sizes. The lockers are convenient though somewhat pricy (€2) and naturally drinks are way too expensive, but that is normal. The sound is often great, even in the smaller upstairs hall.
