Jumbo is a supermarket chain in the Netherlands and Belgium. It is part of the privately owned Van Eerd Group. Van Eerd was originally a grocery wholesale company, established in 1921.

I’ve been shopping here for about 2 months after I moved to Amsterdam. The staff is very friendly, prices are definitely a bit lower than other supermarkets such as Albert Hein. I don’t like the fact they don’t have a loyalty card/membership but most supermarkets don’t. I highly recommend you check it out if you’re in the area

Unnecessary extra packaging in most of the areas. Plastic all over the place, especially the thick one for the pastries! The staff is generally super friendly, and the seating area to have lunch is quite spacious.

The best part about this particular Jumbo is that they have a nice food court. You can easily get warm food like kip tandoori and beef rendang... Or get a pizza. Value for money lunch!!
