Top pub! So glad my buddy told me about this place a decade ago... Happy hour is now 7 days a week between 3-4 & 7-8pm (€5.80 for 2x pints of Stella & €6 for 2 pints of Bud). Pool table €2 which is normal Amsterdam price. Personally I preferred the place when it was a s-hole but it is so much nicer nowadays. Only 4 stars now cause they used to have proper crisps like Quavers, Monster Munch, Hula Hoops & also Lucozade............ Miss them ;)

Fairly hot during summer on the upper floors, may hear other rooms or corridor noise through the walls but was fairly quiet in the night. Very good location due to being right next to red light district. Good for a few nights stay and mainly just for a sleeping spot in the centre of town. Bar was unfortunately under renovation. Reception was good, good english speaking.

When we first arrived to our room, we noticed that some of the pillow cases and sheets were a little dirty (small blood stains were found on my sheets) which was a turn off, but we called the housekeeper to our room and he quickly re-cleaned our entire room and changed all the sheets and pillowcases. After that was done, we found no issues with our bedding. The bathrooms at first, although had a strange smell, after one or two uses, the smell disappeared. The location is prime. It's in the heart of the downtown core and close to a lot of coffee shops, supermarkets and food stands. Aside from the loud banging of the doors in the middle of the night from the rooms beside ours, and the minor issues with the bedding, everything else was great

Stayed here back in April with a big group and have now come back as it's a great value hotel. Rooms were spacious and looked clean and tidy, staff are friendly and there is a 24hr check in so great for if you plan on a late night. Unfortunately they've recently banned smoking in the lobby at night after the coffeshops have shut which was one of the reasons why we chose here again over somewhere else, would like to see this brought back as I'd likely book here again for my next trip if it was

The price is a bit high but it seems to be correct for Amsterdam. The room was clean but it lacked some commodities. Personnel is nice and the localisation is perfect.
