I really feel that anyone giving this 5 out of 5 has to be the owner and staff. The place is a kip. Staff are nice, its local, ya but do is sleeping in the middle of the main town square in a door way but that diesnt mean its comfortable o or worth it.

The hotel itself is par at best, but let me tell you something, the bar exceeded all my expectations. The bar’s facilities: good, the drinks: better, the service: the best. The experience sitting across from the best bartender I have ever encountered, is one that will linger in my mind until my last moments on this blessed earth. His name was Domenik, his eyes were powder blue like a glistening lake touched by winters shivering fingertips. And his smile.. a smile that could make a man with crippling depression turn into the most jolly man in the entire universe. It was his beer pouring abilities, however, that really got my blood flowing. Just the right amount of foam, the perfect temperature and the quickest service. Though the positive memories of hotel old quarter might fade into oblivion, i will carry the memories of domenik with me until god calls for my name.

Between 5 - 9 PM they have happy hour, it is nice and clean place. I like to go more often. Also thanks to all for smiling faces and nice conversations.

Felt deceived by the booking process. Photos made it seem very lovely. When we got to our room it was anything but. Not very clean and in need of some repairs. This would be fine if you were paying less. But €200+ per night is a bit ridiculous for what you get. At €100 I would give it 2-3 stars. The check in staff were nice and seemingly wanted to ensure we were happy at the start. Just found bed bugs in my bed. Along with some severe itching. I would avoid this place if you actually want to sleep.

Just a 5 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central, in the middle of everything, this hotel is a great place for a short stay in Amsterdam. Kind staff and good breakfast makes this hotel even better. I definitely recommend it.
