Even 1 star is too much for this hotel. We checked-in and as soon as we stepped in the room we saw a mouse running around. Of course we left immediately and asked for refund. The receptionist was completely impassive. We told him that we found a mouse and he acted like it was normal. It was 4am and he didn't even bother to help us find another accommodation. If you don't want to ruin your holidays in Amsterdam avoid this room!!!! Very dirty and with mice running around!!

Very cute and cozy place to stay. Great location. Was just what I needed for a small getaway.

This hotel is in a great location. The stairs are extremely steep, but they do have a lift. The bathroom is tiny- and you must be careful as the water from the shower can leak into the room. It was clean, and they have a hotel cat who is sweet. The staff was nice especially the man working the evening shift. It was overall a good experience. Reasonably priced.

We stayed in a basement room. No issues with room size as this is to be expected when staying in Amsterdam basement rooms are the cheapest for a reason. This all said the room way beyond noisy at all times of the day and frankly just dirty and not looked after. It hadn't been dusted in ages there were fluid stains up the wall and black mold in damp areas. We raised all of this with the hotel and managed to get our room changed for one of the 3 nights the last night we checked into another hotel as it was so bad. These complaints were met with total indifference.

The customer service were so helpful people. But, the rooms are too small. If you stay 2 3 days, it's ok.
