Standing tall and majestic. There is a brewery here also but we did not have time for that and we were here in the morning so, but who knows maybe they would have served us a breakfast beer. Next time.

De Gooyer is a windmill in Amsterdam located between Funenkade and Zeeburgerstraat. It is the tallest wooden mill in the Netherlands at 26.6 meters high. It is registered as a National Monument The names dates from the around 1609, when the mill was owned by Claes and Jan Willemsz, two brothers from Gooiland.

This is a great windmill but you can not go inside or see more history of the mill.

Very cool place, but not many alternatives to beer. I didn't try the meals but the sausages looked very good.

You can’t visit the windmill. It’s now a bar. It’s only good if you are going with friends and you can enjoy a beer together underneath. Otherwise it’s only a spot for a quick photo and that’s all.

The only windmill inside the center of the town. Perfect place to see windmill and take some photo. Close to the windmill don't miss 't IJ brewery where they make tasty beer. Also Langendijk bar is good.
