Welcoming, vintage-looking atmosphere, great bottled beer selection plus good tap list and a friendly service. That's all a beer advocate would expect from a decent bar and that's all you get here. Snacks are also non trivially tasty.

Had great happy drink 1 week ago when just landed at Amsterdam with jetlag. Local friend brought me to the bar and informed their beer menu is thick like a dictionary, that's so true ~ they offer over 200 brand beer which is not easy to choose. It's nice bar and can enjoy happy time with friends, not too noisy but relax.

First of all, this beer bar is a lovely place. It is not just a pub conveniently situated in the city center of Amsterdam; it is really a place where we are happy to sit, drink one or more beers, take time and enjoy the moment. The taplist is interesting, with local beers, from easy-to-drink lagers to more complex beverages. Icing on the cake: the barmen are kind and helpful.

Great beers, great atmosphere, super friendly staff. You have the option to get your yeast blob served separately from your beer. If you order a heavy dark beer (especially with chocolate notes) you get some pieces or chocolate bar. They know their stuff here.

This server/bartender was a bit rude, he was Dutch and group was not, so I guess he didn't want to spend much time with us. Was a person to get his attention at the table and at the bar, and when asked for an IPA his reply was "We have many", without making a single suggestion or explaining what types they had. Second bartender with glasses was a 180° turn, friendly, talkative and happy to help. This place also has a lingering smell in the air, like paint/glue or leather, but you get used to it quickly.
