Bastion Hotel Amsterdam - Amsterdam    Share

This is a nice hotel very close to the center of amsterdam located right off the highway and by a train station. We had a quadruple room which is essentially two room, one with two twins pushed together (of apart if you want) and another room with two twins separate. It was very comfortable for my family of four. Getting in and out of the room locations from the parking area is annoying. You have to walk down through and around the parking to an elevator to the lobby level and then take a different elevator to get to your room if you are on the high side. Also, the trains pass right by the hotel and are fairly loud. I slept through them without issue, but they did wake my wife up a few times because she is a lighter sleeper. We did not eat breakfast here, which is about €15, but we ordered dinner from the hotel kitchen. Dinner was very good. We had spare ribs and giant schnitzel. The ribs literally fell off the bone as I picked each up.

The room was big and comfortable, the staff was super friendly and eager to help us. We had beers at the bar and they were great. We would totally come back!

Nice service, very friendly staff. The breakfast is good and tasty. Very practical if you are travelling by car, because they have free parking. The twin beds are not practical for couples even if they are joined. They don't seem to have double beds. It can be noisy in the hallway, but it s livable.

I have spent two nights at Bastion Hotel. The personnel is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but the bathrooms are very small. Food is good and tasty but the waiters do not have a lot of experience (they take the orders after too much time). Prices are good but maybe the breakfast is a little bit too expensive. There is a metro station about 900m but its not too easy to be reached because you have to cross a busy road without crossing stripes. Average.

Very big rooms with sofa and desk. Plenty of power plugs. Very quiet, except for the AC that one needs to have running to heat the room in winter.
