Frequent this Marriott since early 90's. Staffs are hospitable and friendly. Nice gym. Used to have washing on one of the floor. Ice machine is available since day one I was there. I loves this hotel.

The hotel boasts a newly renovated lobby and restaurant area while lacking in hospitality and common sense. Multiple requests (simple but ranging in variety) were ignored by the manager. We were booked in a single bed for 5 nights and were told there was absolutely no way we could change the reservation. Considering we were staying during the slowest season in Amsterdam, I doubt this was true. It was also confirmed as they had two-bed rooms available to book online at that time.... I then asked if we could bring a cot to our room, the lady behind the counter asked the manager standing right next to her and the manager said NO while we were standing right there. Where is the hospitality???? My recommendation is you do a full renovation, this time including the staff aka management. If this is your first time staying in anything but a hostel, you’ll be quite pleased with your stay!! Other than that, enjoy your shell of a stay.

Very good location. Walking distance to the museums, coffee shops, and many touristy places you would consider going to. The receptionist and concierge were very kind and helpful. Overall, I was very happy with my stay. Note, we did not do room service or eat at the restaurant.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Accommodations were roomy and very clean. The executive lounge was very large and always had many snacks and refreshments available and delicious meals. Just a short tram ride to Amsterdam Centraal. You can walk to many local hot spots in the neighborhood. Highly recommend.

This is not a five-star hotel. I have no idea how they can be considered five stars. I have stayed in Best Westerns nicer than this place. I want to give this warning to everyone who is thinking about staying at this hotel, especially foreigners. Employees at this hotel will steal things out of your room. We had thousands of dollars of jewelry stolen out of our safe and because we were American nothing was done. Do not leave anything of value in your room, it is not safe!
